Congratulations to Eric Johnson!! He has been named the girls track team coach after the retirement of the previous girls’ coach. In addition to these new duties, Mr. Johnson continues to serve as the boy’s track coach for which he’s coached for nine years.

MUTUAL OF OMAHA NORTHSTAR SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS for 2010: The mentor group met to analyze and discuss the many scholarship applications we received this year; the applications were all impressive.! This made it very difficult to select the recipients of the two-$500 scholarship awards. We wish to congratulate Kelsey Schluter and Elise White as this year’s final award winners.
NORTHSTAR INTERNSHIPS AT MUTUAL FOR THE SUMMER OF 2010: Again, we want to thank the many students who applied for the internship positions at Mutual for this summer !! These students applied and interviewed for two open internships positions at Mutual. The interviewing process has been conducted and a decision was made by those involved. We wish to congratulate John Glassman and Kylie Gumpert; they both accepted the positions and will begin their jobs in May. We look forward to seeing them on-site !
NEW MENTOR ANNOUNCEMENT: We wish to welcome two new mentors to our Mutual of Omaha NorthSTAR mentoring group: MaryAnn Griffin and Sheryl Reynolds. Four lucky students will be assigned to these ladies 
At the same time, we are sad to say that Scott Smith will be leaving our group for the next year due to other commitments. His students will be reassigned to current mentors.
NEW NORTHSTAR RECRUITS ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 2010-2011: CONGRATULATIONS to all students selected into the NorthSTAR program for the 2010-2011 school year. Wow….we had a good turnout and lots of applications to go through! It was difficult to choose, and we had plenty of discussion among our members. Those who were selected should have received notification.
