Fishers Area Swimming Tigers

Olympic Champions Josh Davis & Kaitlin Sandeno led an awesome BREAKout! Swim Clinic in Fishers, IN on Sept. 16, 2007, for the swimmers of the FAST swim team.

The clinic was absolutely wonderful and very inspiring. Josh and Kailin were professional, enthusiastic and very dynamic in their presentation. It was like a swimming revival. Swimmers, parents and coaches alike were on the edge of their seats. I’ve never seen two people hold the attention of children for one hour, let alone for four hours!A 9-year-old girl told me it was the best day of her life. A boy, 8-years-old, told me he couldn’t sleep the night before because he was so excited. – Head Coach Ken StopkotteI wanted to say Thank You for the Clinic yesterday. It was really fantastic, exceeded my expectations and my daughter, Sarah, wore her shirt proudly to school this morning. Kids need more role models and mentors like this!

Last Monday, Sarah who is 7, swam to be placed into your swimming program. Your kind and personal attention to her (and to me) was a nice change of pace from what we have experienced elsewhere in the past. I’ve always encouraged Sarah to participate in activities that she enjoys and has fun with. She dances, ice skates, sings, plays….and of course, swims. It was wonderful to hear the “Olympians” yesterday talk about all of the sports and activities they chose in addition to swimming. And, you told me that the scheduling of practice times was to encourage the kids to do other things as well. Your approach is refreshing and we are very excited to swim with the FAST Swimming Tigers under your direction. – Parent

Here is another from a swim parent… Wow, Ryan really came home yesterday really fired UP!!! Unfortunately, I was still in Bloomington for parents weekend at I.U. and did not get to attend. However, Jeff said it was a fantastic clinic, with fabulous speakers passing along a strong inspirational message. What a great way to begin the year for all the kids. I thank you for putting this together and working so hard for the club. I am sure you and the rest of the coaches are still on a high from all the excitement from yesterday!!! See you this week at swimming! -Patti and Jeff

Yesterday, my daughters had the benefit of participating in the Mutual of Omaha BREAKOUT! Swim Clinic. Conducted by Josh Davis and Kaitlin Sandeno, hosted by the Fishers Area Swimming Tigers. I must complement Mutual of Omaha for choosing Josh Davis for this program. He conducted one of the best; if not “the” best clinic my girls have participated in. This was their third. Josh’s positive energy and insight was felt by all who were in attendance. My oldest daughter is one of the top seeded swimmers in Indiana, and ranked in the top 16 in the country for her age group, and she too walked away with a renewed insight in a sport she already loves. My daughters were still talking about it when they were getting ready for school this morning, normally they just argue as sisters do. Josh and Kaitlin’s personal account of their carriers in the sport were a great addition to an already great event.

Again hats of to Mutual of Omaha and Josh Davis to a program well done.

-David (Parent)
