The Mutual of Omaha BREAKout clinic tour finished strong for the year 2011. In fact, we broke a record! The previous record for clinics was set in 2010 with 85 cities. This year we killed our own record with 120 clinics in over 110 cities!! That is crazy but exciting that so many young people have met their heroes and learned skills that last a life time. We’ve always prided ourselves on going to any town or club that calls us and we visited some places that have never had an Olympian visit before. We made great friends and memories in Salina, KS–Centerville, Iowa–Pacifica, CA–Herndon, VA–Issaquah, WA–Wakarusa, IN–Carroll, IA–Upper Dublin, PA–Woodbridge, CT–Verona, WI–Devon, PA. This is just 11 of the 110 cities we visited this year. We are proud to be the leading swim clinic in the country!

But a big thanks goes to our Gold Medal Team who consistently give of themselves to teach and inspire our younger swimmer friends. Many of them are going into the final phase of strict training so we will be cheering them on for a great 2012. On behalf of our staff, I want to say thank you also to the clubs, coaches and swim moms who contact us and make the effort to host our events. Please enjoy the pictures and highlights of these last clinics and look forward to seeing you in a very exciting new year!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Swimcerely,
Josh

Dear Josh Davis and Ian Crocker,

As I continue to reflect on the BREAKOUT Swim Clinic that you hosted October 31, 2011 at the Northeastern Aquatic Center I am continually uplifted and wanted to say thank you. This was such an amazing afternoon for the athletes, coaches, parents, and fans in attendance.

My son, who is an 11 year old competitive swimmer for York Suburban’s Trojan Aquatic Club, participated in this memory making day and it is something he will never forget. My son was supposed to play 3 games of soccer that day (now I am so thankful for the bad snowy weather that steered him in the direction of the pool that Sunday) and was a late registration to the clinic.

As a local coach and former Bobcat Swim Club founder and coach, I was given the privilege of being on the pool deck, listening and talking with Ian Crocker and Josh Davis, too. The motivational talks and swim technique pointers of you Rock Stars of Swimming was an amazing opportunity that Bobcat Swim Club brought to our community and we all benefitted from it.

I am not too sure I know of any other 11 year old boy, that I have met in our area, that has had 3 Olympic Gold medals hanging around his neck, raced butterfly in the lane next to Ian Crocker (a legendary butterfly swimmer in the swimming world), and got a high five from Ian after their race. The personal touch that my son had while sitting and having pizza at a local church while chatting with Ian and Josh was just incredible.

Thank you to Breakout Swim Clinics for making a Magical Memory for my son, Carter (Ian Crocker swim cap winner for his streamline), and also for me!! We continue to revisit the memories of the day for the adrenalin rush!
Sincerely,
-Hope
