Creekstone Crocodiles
Josh Davis and Kim Vandenberg were a big hit with the Creekstone Crocodiles of Katy, TX (outside of Houston) when they led a BREAKout! Clinic for this great group of swimmers on June 25, 2007:
“We would like to thank Josh & Kim for a wonderful day when we hosted our BREAKout! Clinic on June 25th. At first, it looked like the Gulf Coast weather was going to present us with challenges, but all the positive energy chased the clouds and showers away. This gave 76 swimmers from the Katy area a unique opportunity to work with Josh & Kim on all 4 strokes, as well as starts and streamlining.
The messages that Josh & Kim shared with us were also very important, as they provided motivation not only for swimming but also for daily life. Striving to be our best took on a whole new meaning. Also, blending sports and competition with nutrition and mental aspects presented a ‘complete person’ approach.
After having the opportunity to race our guests, Josh shared his ‘7 Habits’ with us and some personal Olympic experiences. We then took pictures with Josh & Kim, and had our posters and shirts autographed.
We can never thank you enough for all that this day meant to us!” - Creekstone Crocodiles Swim Team
“We all enjoyed the clinic and spending time with you and Kim both. You left lots of ‘nuggets’ for the swimmers and parents. I can’t thank Josh enough for an amazing day and I hope we see him again soon. Please send a big hug to Kim as well.” - Coach
“Josh & Kim were so inspirational. We met Josh two years ago and couldn’t miss the opportunity to see him again. And my 11-year-old daughter really enjoyed spending time with Kim. Thank you, Josh & Kim, for your dedication to kids. You are the epitome of what role models should be!” - Parent
“It’s an understatement to say that the clinic was a success. We were given the opportunity to meet, get to know, and work with two incredible human beings. Josh and Kim were wonderful and it appeared that every swimmer had a great time!” - Coach
“This past summer, our swim team hosted a one-day clinic and Josh Davis touched the lives of 88 young people. He taught them so many lessons that day. Some about swimming and how to swim better, but the most important lessons were those that applied to life and will be with them every day, outside the pool. He talked about confidence, about perseverance, about discipline. Everyone who met Josh and heard him speak that day will remember his enthusiasm and energy. We felt privileged to have had the opportunity to meet Josh Davis and hope he will visit us again in the future!”–Coach Dirk
“I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for sending Kim and Josh to Katy for our swim clinic. What a wonderful experience for both the kids and parents! We were blessed to have Kim stay at our home and get a chance to get to know her a little better. She is a wonderful person and left our family with an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. (Especially our girls) Needless to say that we are all now huge Kim Vandenberg fans and will be glued to the TV, cheering her on, next July when she earns her spot on the US Olympic team. “–Parent
