Columbia Clippers Aquatics 2007

Olympic Champion Josh Davis led an awesome BREAKout! Swim Clinic in Columbia, MD on Oct 1, 2007 for the swimmers of the Columbia Clippers Aquatics.

Davis spent considerable time encouraging the Clippers swimmers and acknowledging their hard work and dedication. “You have chosen a great sport; it’s fun, helps you learn to set and reach goals, and keeps you healthy,” noted Davis. He also passed around one of his gold and a silver medal to the Clippers swimmers. “It was really cool to actually touch the medals,” noted one Clipper swimmer.

Stan Ber of the Columbia Fyler also attended the event and noted (10-4-07), Davis as one of the best motivational speakers he has ever seen.

After his introduction, Davis spent more than two hours in the pool instructing the Clippers on advanced techniques to improve their strokes, and help them be more competitive. “We have a great group of self-motivated kids that make up the Clippers,” said Jeff Scrivener, Head Coach. “I could see our swimmers identified with Josh’s commitment, and infectious enthusiasm for swimming. I know they appreciated his teaching and encouragement,” he added.
