It was great catching up with Coach Tay and Coach Evan. The Laser Dolphins love to race! I got beat for the third time in 10yrs. in the 25 breast! Nice job, Blair! Maybe I spent too much time jumping on the trampoline the night before at a place called Amazing Jump. It definitely was amazing. I was able to tap into my inner ninja warrior
Unfortunately, I wasn’t feeling much like a warrior after Blair spanked me in the 25 breast! I shall return, Dolphin Lasers! I think Lacey will share in my sentiments. On the last race of the day, sophomore, Jessica challenged Lacey to a race and left with a victory! Great job, Jessica.

This is where it all starts. Never be afraid to race anyone and WIN; moreover, never be afraid to race and fail…it doesn’t define you…it strengthens you and gives you a reason to get back in the pool and back on the blocks! Until next time, I love you all! -Josh

It was fun to reunite with an old Longhorn. Katy swam at Texas and was a fantastic host along with her husband Kevin. Lacey stayed with the Dowd family who were wonderful as well. After the clinic, we walked down to their docks and took their boats across the Lynnhaven Bay to a fun restraurant. It was a pleasant evening. Most of all, it was fun spending time with the swimmers at the clinic. I’ll give a shout out to Mark who beat me in the freestyle. No more head starts! As always, Lacey and I enjoyed getting to work with two great groups. Lots of potential in Virginia Beach! We better keep an eye on a few of these kids!-Josh

Another great event in Herndon,VA! Here is a photo from their “Olympic” Championships the next day following the clinic. Normally, I get to stay and be apart of it but this year I had to rush back to Texas after the clinic to help finish out my annual summer camp. I was bummed to miss out on all the festivities but knew Lacey would do a great job handing out awards and cheering on the swimmers.

Kerstin and everyone involved has done a fantastic job of keeping swimming fun and exciting. I love being apart of what’s going on in Herndon and look forward to it every year! -Josh
