Hi Shantel…

Well, let’s just say, THANK GOODNESS for Josh and Jason!
Those guys were awesome…and any crazy weather issues (there were plenty…I’m sure Josh told you what happened with the rain, thunder and lightening)…were completely forgotten about quickly.
They were so cool and experienced that they didn’t let the weather issues disrupt what they came to do…and that carried over to the swimmers and the parents…they didn’t make a big issue of what was happening, they just went with it and made the best of it…it wasn’t ideal, we all knew that, but, they made it work.
We’ve received only positive comments from parents and swimmers.
Great day, regardless of Mother Nature.

I thought Mark and Mags were fantastic, especially the way they interacted with the younger kids and watching the kids faces light up as they talked and how they patiently answered questions from the kids and parents.

The older kids really took the talk well and said that they enjoyed hearing about “How it is done.”…
I know their stay here was short, but please pass on to both of them that GSC really enjoyed their visit and we wish them the best of luck in the upcoming Olympics. -Ken

5.14.11 Greer, SC Crocker and Davis
Today’s clinic was successful beyond my wildest expectations. Thank you so much for making it happen. I truly hope it will only be the first of a tradition of annual clinics at Devenger!

More than one dad told me that it was the best $50 he’d ever spent on a sport…I had a great time myself, and believe that some of the drills that I learned will benefit the whole team for years. But those who attended should truly show great improvement. -Coach Kevin

I am [one of the swimmer's] mother and she met Josh today at the clinics in Greer SC today. I just wanted to pass along what a wonderful day she had and how much meeting Josh meant to her. She connected with him in so many ways-started swimming seriously in the eighth grade and never learning how to do breast stroke legal until she was 13…she talked to him later about my husband who has brain cancer. I just wanted to thank him for giving her such a wonderful day at such a difficult time in her life!

After the “BReakout clinic!”– later that day we went to Charlotte for Ultraswim Meet. My daughter and her friend were there wearing their Breakout T-shirts. Well Josh showed up and recognized the T-shirts and posed for some more pictures with the girls.
The next thing that happened is why I am writing…

Josh OFFERED to get them more autographs back in the swimmer lounge. The girls did NOT ask!!

He came back with 4 more big name swimmers signatures– (unfortunately Michael Phelps had already left._)

The point is-he went out of his way to do this voluntarily and really made the girls night!

We will be back next year if you do it again [the Mutual of Omaha BREAKout! Swim Clinic]!!

I had a great time with Megan in Livermore. I enjoyed seeing the Aqua Cowboys again and also enjoyed having a nice meal with coach Tom & friends. The weather was great and so were the people! -Josh

We had a great clinic this past Sunday. -Tom Hayes
