Freedom Park Gets a Fresh Look
Thursday, June 18th, 2009A large group of Mutual of Omaha employees headed to Freedom Park to do some work for the City of Omaha’s Parks & Recreation Department. They painted some of the historic displays throughout the park and did some sidewalk clean-up by removing the grass that had overgrown the pavement.
The volunteers even got a little creative, spelling out the initials of their department (Information Services).
Another Day, Another Park
Thursday, May 7th, 2009A group of Mutual volunteers visited the Heartland of America Park near downtown Omaha, where they were given a pile of mulch, a few tools and a little guidance. The work they did helped the staff of Omaha City Parks prepare for local festivals and other events — work they otherwise wouldn’t have had time to do on their own.
Lending a Hand at Memorial Park
Tuesday, May 5th, 2009A group of 25 employees from Mutual of Omaha Bank worked with the Omaha City Parks crew to help perform seasonal cleanup at Memorial Park. The volunteers also enhanced the beauty of the rose garden by adding decorative bricks around the beds.
